Mrs Linda Simiki Folaumoetu'i, of Lotoha'apai, Ha'ateiho, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, Office of the commissioner for Public Relations following an official decision made by the Public Service Commission on the 27th February, 2015 with effect from the date of signing of the Chief Executive Officer's contract (i.e. 5 March, 2015) for a period of three (3) years.

The missing fishing boat ‘Ana Manusiu that activated a live beacon last night at 1156 PM 12 March is being towed back to Nuku’alofa by the VOEA NEIAFU. VOEA NEIAFU arrived at the location of the missing fishing boat (54 Nautical miles South of Fua’amotu) at approximately 0400 PM and left at around 0445 PM, heading back to Nuku’alofa.
